To Believe is Naive

From the beginning, we have been TOLD.  We have been TOLD what to do and how to do it; we have been TOLD what is right and what is wrong; we have been told what to think and how to think it, we have been TOLD to trust….trust our parents, trust our teachers, trust our leaders…..BUT how can we do THAT when we have ONLY been TOLD what trust LOOKS like and have never been encouraged to engage in what trust actually FEELS like. Looking is very different than feeling.  Looking at the car is very different than driving the car.  Looking at a pool of water is very different than diving in.

Did You Know BEETS Cause Delusion?!?

Beliefs are like beets, they flavor everything they touch.  When eating roasted vegetables with beets, I can no longer experience the true taste of the carrot because it was infected with beet juice, so now, I might believe I don’t like carrots, only, I never got to actually taste the carrot in its true, carrot truth.  So I live my life believing I don’t like carrots and I might even influence other peoples beliefs about the taste of carrots because I have been fooled by the flavor of the: beet belief.

TIME TO GET CLEAR ABOUT YOUR Holi-DO's & YOUR Holi-DON'TS

Maybe the actual HOLE in HOLY is to realize we’ve been spelling it wrong for all of these years and it’s actually spelled with a ‘wh.’ That to be holy, is to recognize your WHOLENESS and then align your choices from the place within you that is NOT dependent upon other peoples’ opinions about what you do, how you decorate, what party you attend, or how much money you spend on gifts.  It is also NOT dependent upon your mothers approval or your second cousin’s snarky remarks!

SELF HELP Is A SCAM!

I do NOT need one of the billion self help products or programs out there, I do NOT need a guru, I do NOT need to be fixed….. BECAUSE I AM NOT BROKEN!  And in a world where every billboard, commercial, magazine cover, Facebook ad, or IG webinar is telling me that I am, that I need THEM to fix ME, it’s no wonder I bought into the scam that my well is dry and only THEY have the magic water that will fill me up with peace and joy and abundance.

GIVING Is So OVERRATED!

What I am really trying to say is that so often, much of our giving is done from a place of guilt, programming, and as a form of conscious and unconscious manipulation.  We have been taught that in order to GET, we must first GIVE, which is all well and great, except that we are GIVING just to GET, which is ultimately a subconscious belief that we are lacking something…..that we need to get something “out there” to make us whole, to fill us up, or to establish our significance amongst family, friends, and society.

Is Your SMILE VISION On?

This kind of smile is beyond liking and disliking, sad and happy, entertained and bored; this is the smile of SEEINGTHIS IS SMILE VISION.  The VISION that allows you to SEE that your emotion is literally, in-motion; it is simply passing through, like tourists crossing the Brooklyn Bridge.

Is Your Freedom Fragile?

Before I was able to use yoga to serve me, I used yoga in the same way I used everything else, to sabotage me. The lie was simply cloaked in crystals, chakras, mandalas, and prayered hands.”

Why You May be Falling Short of Greatness

“To to be proficient at something we need to practice that something.  Yet, there is so much unpacking of the idea of practice, for all practice is NOT created equal.  It seems to me, that before we waste our time practicing ANYTHING, we should have a good reason for practicing it….meaning: there is thought, intention, and substance behind WHAT we are doing, HOW we are doing it and most importantly, WHY we are doing it.”

Is Bedtime a Nightmare?

“As humans, one of our BASIC needs is sleep, yet this basic need, can be anything but basic.  For some of us, this time, alone, with ourselves and our thoughts can be terrifying and the inability to stop the thoughts can feel OVERWHELMING, like they are being hurled at us, one after the next from a faulty pitching machine in the batting cage of our mind.”
